I hope everyone had a great weekend.  We have a very busy week planned in room 17.  Today we kicked off our Writing Workshop with guest teacher, Mrs. Lewis! I am amazed at what great things these kids already know about writing!  I'm so proud of every one of my students for their hard work today!  I can't wait to see how they grow as writers!  We will start guided reading tomorrow!

I hope everyone made it home safely with the horrible weather after school!  It was another great day in room 17.  Students are settling in and working hard!  I am very pleased with the results of our first reading tests!  They will come home tomorrow.  These kiddos did Marvelous!  : )

SS-Ch. 1 Study Guide went home today.  Ch.1 test will be next Wednesday, 8/31!
(I encouraged students to work on Habit # 2 "Begin with the End in Mind"  and start preparing now!)

Hello, and what a crazy Tuesday it was!  We were not able to do our NWEA testing today.  The NWEA site was down across the state, and it just happened to be when we were scheduled to test! : (  
We will try again tomorrow!  Testing is scheduled for the afternoon tomorrow.

A reminder to parents ALL transportation changes must go through the Transportation Manager Widget on MyCCS.  This includes Pups Running, News Crew, and any other after school event.  If in doubt, make the change on the widget. Thanks for your help with this! 

Tomorrow is our first Reading Assessment it is over character development and week 1 & 2 vocabulary on page 25-29 of their Blue Booklet-Unit 1.  Students were reminded at the end of the day to bring this booklet home to study!
